How do I take the GED®?

The only way to take the official GED® is to create a free account and register for test sections with an official GED® Test Center through the official website at https://ged.com/

Reasoning Through Language Arts

Cost: $37.50 Retake:$17.50

Official GED® Ready Practice test: $6

Minimum Passing Score in SC: 145

Length:
150 minutes (2 hours & 30 minutes)
10 minute break between parts 2 and 3
45 minutes for the written essay

Format:
3 sections
1 written essay (extended response)

You do NOT have to be enrolled in an adult education program before taking the GED.
